Barrington United Methodist Church Welcomes Ana Kelsey-Powell, Director of Youth Ministries

Ana grew up in the Chicago area, the eldest daughter of two United Methodist elders. She grew up in the church and has spent most of her adult life working for churches or church-related nonprofits. A graduate of Yale Divinity School (MDiv ’21), Ana is passionate about feminist theology, the intersections of theology and popular culture, and the importance of spiritual formation and biblical literacy. Ana is deeply committed to social justice initiatives and has a particular concern for immigration reform, LGBTQIA+ inclusion, anti-racism work, and reproductive justice. When she’s not working, you can find Ana talking about her latest obsessions with TV and film, reading for pleasure, singing, bowling, cooking well (her first professional degree) and to spend time with loved ones, humans and canines. .
