Jon M. Noel of Quarryville, PA, gave up his valiant year-long battle with ALS and visited his Eternal Heavenly Home on January 8, 2022 at Hospice and Community Care, Manheim, PA. He was 64 years old.
Jon was born September 21, 1957 in Franklin, Pennsylvania. He attended Townville Elementary School and Townville High School which merged with Randolph High School and became Maplewood in his first year. After graduation, he earned his journalism degree from Penn State.
Jon worked in the press for 42 years. Jobs including advertising sales representative, advertising manager, production manager, editor and editor. During his career, he worked in eight states.
Jon was predeceased by his parents, Laddie and Gene Noel, who adopted him when he was five days old. He is also survived by his wife, Linda, 19, and a son Gabriel Justin Noel in Long Beach, Mississippi.
Jon’s Christian faith was an essential part of his life, especially when he was diagnosed with ALS. He said, “Ultimately, if my healing does not come until after death, that is no excuse for me to give up the work that God has put in my hands.”
A funeral service will not be held at this time as her body was donated to ALS research. A memorial service will be held at a later date at Hosanna Christian Fellowship, Lititz, PA and the interment of her ashes will be held later this year for the family at Black Ash Cemetery, Guys Mills, PA. with his parents.
