The Diocese of Gozo also said in a Facebook post that the year got off to a good start, with 37 and 47 people donating blood in the first two times the Blood Donor Center was open in Gozo respectively. .

A record number of people who donated blood in Gozo on a weekday was reached on Tuesday (June 16th), he said.

“This bodes well for a good rate of Gozo blood donation in the coming months, as encouraged by the National Blood Transfusion Center,” said the Diocese of Gozo.

The National Blood Transfusion Center also thanked the Diocese of Gozo for putting a red light on seven of its churches during the month of June on World Blood Donor Day 2021.
