Nearly 500 people took to the 5K Run, Walk or Roll on Saturday to support Next Step Ministries at First Baptist Church in Woodstock.

The event, which brought together 492 participants, raised more than $ 30,000, said Matt McCoy, marketing coordinator for Next Step Ministries.

Next Step Ministries helps families and people with disabilities, including autism, cerebral palsy, Down syndrome, severe developmental disabilities and brain trauma. The association’s therapeutic day programs are aimed at those who have not completed high school and who are looking for specialist care.
